Originally designed and installed by Jamie Maclean in 2009 with input from the Pinkenba Community, the Pinkenba History Trail relates the history and importance of Pinkenba Wharf as Brisbane’s first wharf and Pinkenba Village as a unique wharf village The project won a Silver Medal in the Queensland Governor’s Heritage Awards in 2011 and has remained a part of the Pinkenba community identity since installation. In this three-month restoration project CAS fully refurbished the open-spaces elements of the Trail including; the Village Sign, Pinkenba History Board, History Marker Posts and the RAN 9 History Board.
